The NHL’s All-Star Game will resume on Sunday after a one-week break, after the Blackhawks defeated the Washington Capitals 4-3 on Saturday night in the Eastern Conference final.
The game will be the third-most-watched broadcast in league history and will be played in Chicago.
It’s expected the game will go on without Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, who is scheduled to miss two to four weeks due to an upper-body injury.
The Blackhawks are coming off a six-game winning streak.
The Blackhawks defeated their last playoff series with the Washington Nationals last season, but that loss ended their playoff hopes and led to them being eliminated from the playoffs by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round.
They’re currently in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
Chicago has lost six straight games to start the season and the last time it lost five straight was against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
