Ananth Kumar and Rajeev Bhattacharya, who were nominated for Best Female Male Vocal/Group Album in India for their album ‘Kundalanni’ won the prize.
Their album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 33rd Annual Awards in Mumbai, the home of India’s largest recording and publishing industry.
“It’s a dream come true,” Kunti Bhattacarya, Kundalis lead singer, told MTV News after the award was announced.
“We were so proud to have won this award.
It’s very special to have our music here.
We hope that the award will help us to create a brighter future for the industry.”
The award was presented by actor Vishal Dadlani and singer-songwriter Ananth Kundallani, who won the award for Best Vocation/Songwriter.
The awards are organised by the International Film and Television Festival (IFTF) and the Music Awards Foundation.
